Stating the obvious?

“House of Un-American Activities” by Gabi Clayton, 02-06-2017

The United States doesn’t need to be the greatest country in the world. Being ‘the greatest’ means a constant power struggle, one up and one down, unless the other doesn’t care, has no hope. The greatest means everybody loses because being in competition may be fine for things like baseball but is not healthy in relationships, personal and political.

We need to strive to be a good country, and we are far from that now and going farther from it daily.

We can work to be good along with others, hold each other up when we stumble, teach each other and learn from each other.

I’m not naive (much.) I understand that in order for that to work all countries need to do it together. That would be a sight!

We have our work cut out for us.
