… to being there is reading Steve Schalchlin’s blog Living in the Bonus Round and listening to his songs.
The truth is I haven’t even seen The Big Voice: God or Merman, and I can’t see it now. But I saw The Last Session three times (New York City, Denver Colorado, and Laguna Beach California).
Steve’s whole blog is fabulous. Two of my favorite entries from this time in San Francisco are:
Friday, August 03, 2007: SF Preview Number 2
and
Sunday, August 12, 2007: A Letter From Ethel Merman’s Son.
The Big Voice is getting rave reviews and is going to be held over until August 23rd at the New Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, with a one night only special benefit performance of Jim Brochu’s Zero Hour on August 21st.
If you can go, do it. I know you’ll love it. And tell anyone you know who can get there to do so.
Box Office: (415) 861-8972.
