I really like the
story about what your son did and think that it is a great loss
when he died and i am sorry. I think people should be who they
are no matter what others say or do. I am Bi myself but i have
not told many people my mom and step-dad do not know nor anyone
else in my family becuase of the way they talk about gay people
they are against gays. but i am not. |

What a wonderful
person Bill sounds like! The day the fear, jokes, ridicule and
pain can be ended for people who are no different to any one

I heard of what
happined to you son a while back. Its crazy to think of such
things happening here in Oly. I am a Transsexual and have been
living full time as a female. I would presume that I am at
higher risk than your son was. I don't know how much better
things have gotten here in olympia. Although I have not had many
problems. |

Your website and
store touched my heart tonight, Having a son myself of the age
of 4 and a daughter of 1. I feel the world needs to open there
eyes and see that people are who they are and what they are for
reasons they only themselves know and need not to judge others
because they are different. May your son have peace now, and may
you and your family keep on sharing this story that made me
think about my childrens future. Your son will be with me in my
mind and heart for a long time, I will remember his story. You
have done a great thing putting this site up.

Came across this
page, and thought it is wonderful in the sense that u are
educating the world.. I am sorry for what happenned to Bill, and
I agree that we must all fight for freedom, freedom to choose
what we all want to lead in life.. and to fight for the hate
crimes to stop. He is a victim, but with ur help, with this
page, it will serve to enlighten the world, and the future of

Your tribute to your son is both touching, and inspiring to me.
I lost a brother, who was gay, to suicide. (He was 19, I was
21... our other brothers were 17 and 15 at the time.) I have
photos on my website. And you have inspired me to add a section
about my brother, his life, and the contributing factors of his
death (one of which was, I believe, his being gay).

I admire and respect
what you are doing. I do think that tolerance is increasing in
all democratic societies thanks to efforts like yours. The vast
majority of the people I know are at least nowadays very
open-minded, critical and accept people for what they are.
My personal belief of what is right and wrong is that: As long
as you don't hurt anybody (including yourself) what you do can't
be wrong.
I think there is a reason for some people being gay in this
world and that is to teach humanity tolerance, love and repect
for those who are different.

I am a college
student. I came across your website doing research for a class
presentation for Human Growth & Developement. The topic I
chose was "Adolsence Sexuality- Am I Gay?"
It saddened me when I read the story of your son and all the
things you guys went through. I really had no idea how much
information I would find concerning youth and being gay. Boy
have I learned alot. Especially for a presentation that is only
supposed to take 10 minutes! There is so much information that
is not known I need weeks!
Growing up I have had friends who were bi, lesbian, and gay. I
know they went through difficult times but never dreamed that it
may have been like I have come to find now.
I really just wanted to let you and your family know that
through all the research and education I have gained the
"A" I hold in this class will be treasured! I just
hate that it had to cost SOMEONE dearly! You all are in my

Hey, I have spent a
considerable amount of time reading your sad and touching story.
For most of my life I have been contemplating and attempting to
end my life, because at times I feel like there is no way out.
Times have cahnged though, discrimination has little bearing on
life here in my country (I guess taht is because we are so used
to living together as one). I have several friends who are
either Bisexual or Gay, and think nothing less of them for it.
Here Gays and Bisexuals are treated the same as any other
person, afterall sex is only a small percentage of the life we
live, christian or not. |
